Teaching our children the language of the scriptures!

I was reading tonight in Mosiah:
"And he (King Benjamin) caused that they (his sons) should be taught in all the language of his fathers, that thereby they might become men of understanding; and that they might know concerning the prophecies which had been spoken by the mouths of their fathers, which were delivered them by the hand of the Lord.  And he also taught them concerning the records which were engraven on the plates of brass, saying: My sons, I would that ye should remember that were it not for these plates, which contain these records and these commandments, we must have suffered in ignorance, even at this present time, not knowing the mysteries of God."           -Mosiah 1:2-3
King Benjamin taught his kids the language of the scriptures, so they could understand the scriptures and use them in their lives.  That's exactly what we are trying to do in our home!  Elder Bednar once mentioned how much of the Book of Mormon is counsel from parents to children (he typed it out and it came to more than 90 pages).  The Book of Mormon is a great resource for parents, written by parents, to help us bring our children to Christ.

Character Study

I love Nephi.  My artwork looks like it belongs to a nine-year-old.  HA!
