Printable Book Guides for the Book of Mormon

My kids have come to know the stories of the Book of Mormon as we have studied them at dinner.  Now they need to be able to find the stories in their own scriptures.  To help with that I created book guides for most of the books in the Book of Mormon.  They are intended to make it easier to find the stories.  They are sprinkled with quotes, study ideas, a picture to color, a timeline, and some spots are left open for illustrations to help my kids develop a variety of scripture study skills.

The number on the left side of the guide is the corresponding chapter.

Timelines really help!

The pictures on the page are also in the margin of the right page in the Book of Mormon.
Bad picture, sorry.
Choose the "two-sided" print feature so it will print properly, it will print 3 pages (on both sides).
The pages are then cut exactly into quarters.

They aren't perfect, but I do think that they will be a powerful tool
as our family continues to learn from their scriptures!

  11. Cool, these are great glue-in ideas! My hubby did a similar thing, but made it into a chapter reading checklist with headings, so you can learn stuff as you track your progress while you read the scriptures:

It's been really insightful for me, as an adult, to see the bigger structure of the scriptures, and it's been helpful for the teens in the stake. He has the reading checklist for Book of Mormon and Old Testament posted online, and the other standard works are coming soon, too.

  12. Thank you! I am a Semiary teacher and think this tool would be very helpful. The only problem is that "Samuel the Lamanite Prophesied:" is up to far and prints out on the 3Ne. page. That also means that "Consider the impact of" is bumped up also. Any way of fixing this? Thank you.

  13. I cannot express my excitement for this reference enough! I grew up with the church in my life but my family was never very active so I am loving having this resource at my discretion as I am about to finish the Book of Mormon in its entirety for THE FIRST TIME!! Thank you so much!! If my children were not at the door begging to go swimming I would be putting these in my scriptures right now! But I suppose it can wait a couple more hours. :) THANKS AGAIN!!

    1. Joe and Debbie,
I wish I was more computer savvy. Did you click on the big blue or gray words "Print Here"? Did you try it when using Google Chrome? Try those and let me know if it still isn't working for you and I will figure something out!

    1. Probably your best bet would be to print them and then shrink them on a copy machine until they fit your smaller scriptures. I hope that you enjoy them!

  30. These are really great! Question: Do you glue the pages in? Or how does it work with the printing on the back side? Are they just left loose in the book?
